Wash with warm water, detergent and a sponge.
Dry with a cloth immediately after washing

Cracks or splits can occur when the wood expands, so when you lay the boards out to dry, do so with them up so they can dry evenly.
To keep the boards disinfected, squeeze a lemon and add a little sea salt to the board. Use the lemon to scrub and remove any residue from the board.
Don't use bleach or bicarbonate of soda on your boards.
